Dr. Barry J. Cukor, MD, principal physician at Digestive Disorders Associates, focuses on constantly learning the latest techniques to bring the best available healthcare to patients in Annapolis, Maryland. He started his education at Tufts University, studying Biological Psychology. Next, he studied at Harvard Extension School, where he was also a physician at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital, and the Boston University School of Medicine to achieve his Doctor of Medicine. Dr. Cukor then traveled to New Orleans for his internship in Internal Medicine at Tulane University Medical Center. During his time at Tulane, he was voted Outstanding Resident by his peers. Dr. Cukor was also Resident of the Year at the Medical Center of Louisiana, Charity Hospital. He completed his fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.

Dr. Cukor not only works as a Gastroenterologist for Digestive Disorders Associates, but also performs in the same capacity for Maryland Diagnostic & Therapeutic Endo Center and Anne Arundel Medical Center. He is also a sub-investigator at Investigative Clinical Research.

In his personal time, Dr. Cukor is an award-winning poet. He has been published nationally and recognized as a National Poetry semi-finalist. He also enjoys being active, playing soccer and tennis, and cooking.
